Lutzie 43 Foundation
Application Requirements:
To be eligible to apply, students must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be high school juniors or seniors, current undergraduate or graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time accredited program at a two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school located in the United States
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) at the time of application
- Applicants must plan to continue their education in the fall semester immediately following the distribution of the 2024 PFL Scholarship
- Applicants that are enrolling in post-secondary university or college must enroll in at least 12 hours per semester. Applicants currently enrolled in post-secondary university or college must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours per semester. Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours per semester
Below are the requirements to apply for the 2024 PFL Scholarship:
- Sign the 43 Key Seconds Safe Driving Pledge
- Complete the Safeguarding Your Legacy Curriculum
- Answer four short answer questions (essays must be between 500-750 words) describing how you have been impacted by your experience with the Lutzie 43 Foundation and how you apply safe driving habits into your life
- Submit an official transcript
- Submit a resume
- Submit a mentor letter of recommendation as a PDF
If selected as a recipient of the 2024 $4,300 PFL Scholarship, you will receive $1,300 for your first year. From then, you will receive the remainder of the $4,300 over the remaining years of your undergraduate college education at a rate of $1,000 per year over no more than four years. If the applicant is currently enrolled in secondary school, the distribution of the scholarship will be discussed and planned out with the recipient. See the year 1 winner expectations HERE.
